Description
OTHER NO MORE is a memory play, written and directed by Kyoung H. Park, based on real-life interviews with queer elders in our community who spearheaded the LGBQTIAGNCTS+ grassroots campaign of the same name. OTHER NO MORE looks at the history of how this multiracial movement established social infrastructures needed to address a global epidemic and questions how our queer, BIPOC communities today can use this campaign’s response to a public health crisis as a model to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Interviewees for OTHER NO MORE include Collette Carter, John Chin, VerĂ³nica Flores, Gil Gerald, Curtis Harris-Davia, Kris Hayashi, Joo-Hyun Kang, Don Kao, Paul Kawata, Johnny Manzon-Santos, Cara Page and Suki Terada Ports. “Other No More” advocated for the CDC to remove Asian-Americans and Indigenous Peoples from the “Other” box, so that federal funds could be directed to meet the needs of Asian-Americans and Native Americans suffering from HIV/AIDS.
